KIRTAN MARATHON - 6 hours of sound liberation
Welcome to a marathon of mantra magic at Northern Light yoga.
After many renditions of Kirtan in shorter formats, the appetite is now kindled for a bigger bite of the divine meal that is heart-based singing.
This evening we will sing for hours on end, letting the many names of the nameless one reverberate in every nook and cranny of head, heart, and navel.
A baptism by devotional fire if you will.
Program:
15:00: Welcome and warm up practice for body and breath
15:30: Kirtan
17:00: Savasana
17:15: Heart songs
18:45: Sound Healing Journey
19:15: Serving of chai/kakao
19:30: Kirtan
21:00: Finish
(Note: changes in the program may occur)
Despite being a longer format Kirtan, this is open to curious newcomers as well. The singing will be easy to follow, and no prior experience or skill is needed. You are not required to sing the whole time and can use this evening as you need - for nurture, support, inspiration, and consecration.
The space has everything you need to sit and lie down comfortably. Please bring your own teacup and something of personal value (like a stone, an image, or a small statue) for the altar. If you need to eat during the evening, bring your own food/snacks.
This evening is guided by Mette and Magnus Støre. Both seekers of genuine ways of being human with a deep love for devotional singing share this opportunity with you from the heart.
