Kirtan - watering the seed

At the root of the Sanskrit language are “sound seeds”, known in Sanskrit as “Bija Mantras”.

These single syllable sounds have been revered through the eons as they carry specific vibratory patterning for the healthy functioning of body, mind and spirit.
Chanted as mantras, they are powerful and enveloping portals into the spaces in-between breaths, thoughts and identities.

On this Friday we will offer an exploration of Bija mantras, along with classical Kirtan and heart songs.
As spring receives the baton from a long winter, we will water and plant our inner seeds in a circle of prayer and celebration.
The singing will be easy to follow, and no prior experience or skill is needed. Lyrics and guidance will be offered.

Bring your physical and astral seeds for blessings at the altar, along with spring flowers from the roadside.

This circle is guided by Mette and Magnus Støre, with support from Karen Sollihaug on rhythms and drums.
All devoted seekers with a deep love for devotional singing they share this evening with you from the heart.
